This course does an amazing job showing an unvarnished and organic look into Tibor's production. I have partaken in many of his courses and I think this is the best one yet. I completed the entire course, and honestly... it's a masterclass.
I was already producing before, but what I learned here really took me to the next level, both in my technique and my listening style.
🎛️ What I learned concretely:
- Clear organization and a solid workflow for composing a Trance track from A to Z
- Modern arrangement techniques: build-up, transitions, intelligent variation
- Professional layering of leads without unnecessary stacking
- Precise use of SSL Glue, dynamic EQ, clipper, and send effects
- Managing FX, automation, reverb, and tension in the song
- Mixing in context (and no longer systematically soloing, like I used to)
- Mixing on a loop of the drop, no need to mix everything from start to finish
- My ear has really improved → I can better hear flaws and correct them
- Discovery of very useful plugins that I hadn't used before:
• Bark of Dog 3 (great for the Kick!)
• StandardCLIP (clean and precise)
• Blackhole Reverb → a real revelation for creating deep and soaring ambiences
• Analysis techniques: SPAN, Ozone Imager, Youlean, etc.
🧠 My takeaway:
- Professional mixing is achieved through mastered simplicity, not by piling on 15 plugins.
- A good, solid kick/bass from the start is 70% of the work.
- I understood the difference between quick mastering and truly professional mastering—and I can already do a great job with my current plugins.
Frankly, this course is worth every euro invested.
