Biography

Bastian's World is the artistic project of Jose A. Martos López, also known as BeatMaster JML—a music producer, composer, and sound engineer born in Germany and based in Granada, Spain.

Active in electronic music since 1994, he has developed a distinctive sound blending techno trance, electropunk, big beat, synthwave, hip-hop, ambient, dubstep, and electro-indie. His journey began with a Commodore 64, leading to the creation of UCM Communications and later several solo projects.

Throughout his career, BeatMaster JML has collaborated with artists including DJ Rap, Martin 'Youth' Glover, and Rapmonkeys, while also working with musician Julian Sánchez on the In Astris project.

Launched in 2018, Bastian's World represents his most personal and experimental vision. His self-titled debut album was released on vinyl by Magnoliadamasco, followed by his second album, Pop Culture (2025), released through Moonlife Records—a high-energy journey through the history of electronic music with modern production and driving rhythms.

Today, Bastian's World continues to evolve, drawing inspiration from German techno trance roots while creating new music from the Lost Void Music Studio.
